Vehicle Loading Crane

It is a requirement that anyone operating a Vehicle Loading Crane (VLC), which has a lifting capacity of 10 metre tonnes and above fitted to a motor vehicle, must hold a High Risk Work Licence specifically for operating a VLC. When applying for this licence it is a requirement that applicants must have successfully completed a nationally recognised training course in the unit of competency ‘TLILIC0012 - Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above)’.

Our comprehensive 3 day course is conducted here at the Sutton Road Driver Training Centre where you will receive professional training in the proper and safe operation of a VLC in full compliance with all current regulatory requirements. At TISC we believe that there is no substitute for actual practical experience and training. So to give you more practical experience, our course has been designed with a maximum student to trainer ratio of only 6:1. On successful completion of the course students will be issued with a statement of attainment in the unit of competency TLILIC0012 - Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above).

Non-ACT Residents -If you do not reside in the ACT you MUST contact Construction and Workplace Licensing on (02) 6207 8096 to seek advice regarding eligibility for an ACT High Risk Work Licence prior to booking with us.

Assessment Only - We also offer an ‘Assessment Only’ course option for anyone who is renewing their High Risk Work Licence or hold an old OHS card. Please give us a call to discuss eligibility for this course option.
