Vehicle Loading Crane

Vehicle Loading Crane

Our Vehicle Loading Crane Course is designed to meet the needs of the warehousing and Transport Industries. It is a requirement that anyone operating a Vehicle Loading Crane (VLC), which has a lifting capacity of 10 metre tonnes and above fitted to a motor vehicle, must hold a High Risk Work Licence specifically for operating a VLC.

This is a nationally recognised course and students that are successfully found competent will be issued a statement of attainment for the unit of competency TLILIC0012 - Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above).

Course Details

Our comprehensive 3 day course is conducted here at the Sutton Road Driver Training Centre where you will receive professional training in the proper and safe operation of a VLC in full compliance with all current regulatory requirements. At TISC we believe that there is no substitute for actual practical experience and training. So to give you more practical experience, our course has been designed with a maximum student to trainer ratio of only 6:1.

Non-ACT Residents -If you do not reside in the ACT you MUST contact Construction and Workplace Licensing on (02) 6207 8096 to seek advice regarding eligibility for an ACT High Risk Work Licence prior to booking with us.

We offer two options for gaining the necessary qualification which is a requirement prior to applying for a High Risk Work Licence.

Option one:
Training and Assessment

Completion of the full 3 day course conducted at the Sutton Road Driver Training Complex. So call us to enquire when our next course will be available.

On completion of the assessment by TISC, you will be provided with the appropriate forms to apply for the licence at WorkSafe ACT.

Option two:
Assessment Only

Do you have an old OHS Certification Card? Assessments can be conducted using TISC equipment at the Sutton Road complex. Give us a call and discuss your circumstances to see if you are eligible for a one off assessment.

Note: Paper licences issued prior to the introduction of the national OHS Certification Card are no longer valid and you must successfully complete the full licence course.
