The first thing that needs to be done is a knowledge test at a Road Ready Centre here in the ACT. There is a centre in Watson (6162 5152) and Phillip (6109 0152).

We recommend that you check out the Road Ready web site and familiarise yourself with the knowledge test. Yes, you can even practice it! Go to www.roadready.act.gov.au and select “Knowledge Test”. Once you have passed, call us to book in your training and test. Remember to bring your test results and your current Australian drivers licence when booking. Alternatively you can also fax or email them to us.

    NSW Licensing
If you are looking for a NSW licence, you must first successfully complete a Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) by attending a local NSW RMS shop front. You can go to the NSW Roads & Maritime Services website and practice the test. There is even a Phone “app” for it! Just search for DKT. The RMS closest to our facilities is the Queanbeyan Service Centre, you can contact them on 13 77 88.

Once you have completed the knowledge test you need to come into our office and make a booking. Make sure you bring your licence and log books (issued by RMS). Feel free to call us if you have any questions on how we can help you get your heavy vehicle licence sooner.
