About TISC

TISC has established a high profile in the road transport industry in the region which derives from a determination to maintain the highest standards of driver education, in the interests of driver efficiency and public safety. Our driver education programs have attracted many important clients, including the ACT Emergency Services Bureau and COMCAR. We have also been accredited by the ACT Government to conduct all theory and practical licence testing for taxi drivers; and to train and accredit all light vehicle driving instructors under the CBT & A system.

In February 2000, TISC was appointed as the preferred driver trainer for all the Australian Federal Police. As a consequence, a light vehicle division was established within TISC in 2000.

Our quality endorsed light vehicle driver education program utilises the Sutton Road Driver Training Complex which allows for high speed driving and other manoeuvres, without entering public roads. It is backed by detailed course curriculum and teaching resources which are based on the industries Transport and Distribution Training Package. It is delivered by highly competent instructors who have nationally recognised qualifications in driver instruction.
